What's Happening?
Traverse City Roller Derby is organizing a competitive skating event, the Fast Five Skate Race, at K1 Speed Traverse City on April 11, 2026. Teams of five skaters will compete in a five-lap time trial
to achieve the fastest combined time. Each participant will have two opportunities to record their best time, initially skating with their team and then racing against others with similar speeds. The team with the fastest combined time will win a grand prize of $1500. Additional individual prizes will be awarded based on divisions such as women's, all gender, youth, and age categories. The event requires quad skates and helmets, with protective gear recommended. The entry fee is $40 per skater, and the event is open to all ages. Spectators can attend for $5.
