Allison Belan, previously the director of strategic innovation and services at Duke University Press, has been appointed as the new executive director of the Book Industry Study Group (BISG). She will succeed Brian O'Leary, who is retiring after a decade

During her 22-year tenure at Duke University Press, Belan was responsible for technology operations and publishing infrastructure, as well as the launch and management of the Scholarly Publishing Collective.
