Kongsberg Maritime, a prominent provider of marine technology solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT PAL Indonesia, the country's largest state-owned shipyard. The agreement was formalized at a ceremony held at PT PAL's headquarters
in Surabaya, attended by representatives from both companies and the Norwegian Ambassador to Indonesia, Rut Krüger Giverin. This partnership marks a significant step in Kongsberg Maritime's ongoing commitment to the Indonesian maritime industry. The company has been expanding its presence in Indonesia, having opened two new offices in Jakarta and Batam in July 2025 to enhance local sales, service, spare parts, and aftermarket support. Kongsberg Maritime's offerings include marine automation, navigation, propulsion, dynamic positioning, energy management, deck handling, and vessel design.
