Netflix has introduced new features to improve accessibility for its users, coinciding with Global Accessibility Awareness Day. The streaming service has launched a 'Search by Language' feature, allowing
users to filter content based on language preferences, including subtitles, audio descriptions, and dubbing. This feature is accessible through Netflix's search bar on all devices. Additionally, Netflix has expanded its audio description offerings, adding over 13,000 hours across 34 languages in the past year. The company is also planning to introduce American Sign Language (ASL) options, which can convey more emotion and nuance than traditional closed captioning, enhancing the viewing experience for deaf or hard-of-hearing users.
