What's Happening?
The Community Sailing Center in Burlington is organizing its annual season opener event on May 30, from noon to 6 p.m., at the Lake Champlain waterfront. This event is designed to engage families and individuals of all ages in a variety of sailing-related
activities. Attendees can participate in knot-tying contests, hiking board challenges, and create mini sailboats using corks. The event also offers $10 sails on various boats, including the Tranquility, Wild Rose, and Friendship, with each boat accommodating six to ten passengers. Additionally, visitors can view boats from the U.S. Coast Guard and local fire departments, and contribute to a community art project by painting a full-size sail.
Why It's Important?
