What's Happening?
Chase Aldridge, a Harvard-Westlake alumnus, initially pursued a career in sports analytics but found his passion in player development. After joining the Sports Analytics Club at Harvard and working remotely for a German sports club, Aldridge realized coding was not his true calling. An internship with the San Diego Padres opened his eyes to the operational side of baseball, leading him to apply to various Major League Baseball teams. The Los Angeles Dodgers offered him a position, where he has worked for seven seasons, including roles as a hitting coach and now as assistant director of methodology and player development. Aldridge emphasizes the importance of finding what one truly loves about the game and advises aspiring sports professionals
to build a portfolio that reflects their passion.
