QL Resources Berhad has announced the development of QL Innofood Park, a new integrated food manufacturing hub in Hutan Melintang, Perak, Malaysia. The hub will focus on scalable, value-added, and halal protein food production. Executive Chairman Dr. Chia Song Kun highlighted that the park will expand QL's existing food manufacturing capabilities to include a broader range of products such as soy-, chicken-, and flour-based foods. The development will occur over a decade, with the initial phase focusing on core infrastructure like smart cold storage and sustainable utilities, expected to be
completed by mid-2027. The park will eventually house 13 production facilities with a combined capacity of 180,000 metric tonnes per annum, significantly increasing QL's current production capacity.
