Vertical Aerospace, a global aerospace and technology company, has announced a significant achievement in the field of electric aviation. The company successfully completed a piloted thrustborne transition with its full-scale electric Vertical Take-Off
and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft. This transition involves the aircraft taking off vertically like a helicopter and then seamlessly transitioning into wingborne flight like a fixed-wing aircraft. The test flight was conducted at Vertical's Flight Test Centre at Cotswold Airport, marking a pivotal step in the company's development of advanced air mobility solutions. This achievement was made under the oversight of the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and in collaboration with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), as part of the certification process for Vertical's electric aircraft, Valo.
