What's Happening?
Worley has been awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction management contract by Dow for the front-end engineering design (FEED) services of the Path2Zero project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada. This project aims to establish the world’s
first fully integrated net-zero emissions ethylene cracker and derivatives complex. The initiative is a significant step in Dow's efforts to decarbonize its operations, with the project expected to reduce approximately 20% of Dow’s global ethylene production emissions. The cogeneration facility, which will include carbon capture technology, is projected to be operational by 2030. The project will also triple the polyethylene output at the site, producing around 3.2 million metric tonnes of low- to zero-carbon products annually.
