What's Happening?
Ultimo is set to debut its new enterprise asset management (EAM) maturity assessment tool and AI 'digital workers' at Maintec 2026, part of Smart Manufacturing Week. The event, scheduled for June 3-4 at the NEC Birmingham, will showcase Ultimo's rapid
assessment tool designed to evaluate industrial organizations' maintenance maturity across five stages: Reactive, In Control, Proactive, Smart, and Ultimate. This tool aims to address the gap between perceived and actual maturity levels by providing an evidence-based view and guidance on next steps. Additionally, Ultimo will introduce AI-enabled digital workers to automate routine maintenance and safety processes, including automated asset registration and maintenance planning.
Why It's Important?
The introduction of these tools by Ultimo is significant for the industrial sector as it addresses common challenges in maintenance management. By providing a clear assessment of an organization's maturity level, companies can better strategize and prioritize improvements, potentially leading to enhanced performance and asset value. The AI digital workers represent a step forward in automating routine tasks, which can increase efficiency and reduce human error. This innovation could lead to cost savings and improved safety standards, benefiting industries that rely heavily on maintenance operations.
What's Next?
Following the debut at Maintec 2026, Ultimo plans to further develop its AI capabilities, including enhanced planning support and health, safety, and environment (HSE) agents. These developments aim to integrate AI more deeply into existing maintenance strategies, offering organizations the opportunity to streamline operations and improve safety protocols. The event will also feature a panel discussion with industry experts to explore the practical challenges of implementing EAM strategies, providing attendees with insights into the future of maintenance management.
