Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) has inaugurated nine new gates in a newly constructed pier of Terminal C, marking the first completed phase of a $3 billion renovation project. This terminal, which is exclusively used by American Airlines,
is the busiest among DFW's five terminals. The renovation began in 2024 and is expected to be fully completed by 2030. The new pier, which opened on June 8, includes four brand-new gates and five reconstructed ones. The construction utilized modular technology, which involved moving six modules across the airfield to minimize operational disruptions and accelerate the timeline. The pier spans 115,000 square feet and features electronic boarding gates, enhanced customer amenities, expanded seating areas, and new concessions.
