The final round of voting for the 2026 Makers Madness contest is now open, with four products competing for the title of 'The Coolest Thing Made in Illinois.' The finalists include the NASA Standard Initiator by Chemring Energetic Devices, the John Deere
Combine, the Elastec Duck Weir Skimmer, and the Aerapy PPR HVAC UV System. Voting is available online until April 12, and the winner will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Governor’s Mansion on April 15. This annual contest celebrates innovation and manufacturing excellence in Illinois.
