The Standard brand is set to open its first Texas location, The Standard, Austin, in Spring 2027. This marks the brand's first U.S. opening in over a decade. The project involves converting and renovating the existing South Congress Hotel in Austin, Texas.
The collaboration between Hyatt and Timberline Real Estate Partners aims to create a culturally immersive space featuring social wellness experiences, a rooftop pool, and world-class dining options. The design and development are led by an Austin-based creative team, including Amar Lalvani, James Moody, Stan Nix, and architect Michael Hsu. The hotel will close for renovations in Summer 2026, with plans to reopen in Spring 2027.
