What's Happening?
TomaGold Corporation has commenced a 1,500-meter Phase 2 drilling program at its Berrigan Mine project in the Chibougamau Mining Camp, Québec. This initiative aims to explore the newly-discovered Berrigan Deep Zone. The program involves five extension
holes targeting previously drilled holes TOM-25-009 through TOM-25-013, with the goal of evaluating the Berrigan Deep zone at greater depths. The company is focusing on reaching the core of the modeled conductive plates, which could significantly increase the volume of identified mineralization. The best intercept to date from this zone returned 5.08% ZnEq over 98.50 meters, including 23.20% ZnEq over 4.90 meters in drill hole TOM-25-015. The drilling is managed by Explo-Logik of Val-d’Or, Québec, with samples analyzed by AGAT Laboratories.
Why It's Important?
The drilling program at Berrigan Mine is significant as it could potentially expand the known mineral resources in the area, enhancing TomaGold's asset value. The exploration of the Berrigan Deep Zone could lead to the discovery of substantial mineral deposits, which would be economically beneficial for the company and the local mining industry. This development is crucial for TomaGold's strategic focus on high-potential precious and base metal projects, particularly in gold and copper. Successful results from this drilling could attract further investment and interest in the Chibougamau Mining Camp, potentially boosting local economic activity and employment opportunities.
What's Next?
Following the completion of the Phase 2 drilling program, TomaGold will analyze the results to determine the next steps in their exploration strategy. If the drilling confirms significant mineralization, the company may proceed with further exploration or development activities. This could include additional drilling to delineate the extent of the mineral resources or feasibility studies to assess the economic viability of mining operations. Stakeholders, including investors and local communities, will be keenly observing the outcomes of this program, as positive results could lead to increased investment and development in the region.
