Organic Valley, a cooperative based in La Farge, Wisconsin, has introduced a new line of protein-focused milk called Protein Plus. This ultra-filtered milk is designed to offer 50% more protein and 50% less sugar compared to regular milk. The product
is available in whole milk, 2% milk, and skim milk varieties, each providing 13 grams of protein per serving. The milk undergoes a filtering process that alters the water, lactose, and natural minerals content to achieve its enhanced nutritional profile. Rick Simington, the chief commercial officer of Organic Valley, stated that the introduction of this product is in response to consumer demand for an organic option of ultra-filtered milk.
