Hut 8 Corp., an energy infrastructure company, has announced a $16 million investment to expand the water system capacity in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. This investment is part of the development of the River Bend AI data center campus. The project
includes constructing a new water well and approximately eight miles of water main, which will be transferred to the parish upon completion at no cost to taxpayers. The improvements aim to enhance system capacity and reliability, potentially benefiting over 4,000 households and 200 employer establishments. The River Bend campus represents a significant economic impact, with Phase 1 involving a multibillion-dollar capital investment and creating approximately 1,000 construction jobs at its peak.
