Rau, who previously worked at Apple, was inspired to create a more affordable heat pump solution after experiencing sticker shock during her own home electrification process. The Merino Mono costs $3,800 and can be installed in about an hour, offering features like Wi-Fi connectivity and integration with Oura Rings for enhanced efficiency.
