What's Happening?
Greenlane has successfully completed its Systems and Organization Controls (SOC) Type 2 examination, covering the period from December 1, 2024, through November 30, 2025. This compliance ensures that Greenlane's security measures are effectively designed
and operating across its digital platforms and physical charging sites. The examination, conducted by Boulay PLLP, validated the security controls of Greenlane's Fleet Portal, Driver App, and OnRamp APIs. These controls include logical access, change management, risk assessment, incident response, and continuous system monitoring. Greenlane's platform, which runs on Microsoft Azure, protects fleet data such as charging history, billing information, and vehicle telematics integrations. Physical charging sites also adhere to strict security protocols, featuring gated access, full-time security staffing, and safety equipment.
Why It's Important?
Achieving SOC 2 Type 2 compliance is crucial for Greenlane as it provides enterprise fleet operators with confidence in the security and reliability of its EV charging network. This independent verification assures customers that their data is protected and that the platform operates with integrity. As Greenlane expands its commercial EV charging network along major freight corridors, such as the I-15 and I-10, this compliance strengthens its position in the market by offering secure and reliable infrastructure. The rigorous security standards not only protect driver safety and fleet data but also enhance operational integrity, making Greenlane a trusted partner for fleet operators integrating with its platform.
What's Next?
Greenlane is expected to continue expanding its EV charging network, leveraging its SOC 2 Type 2 compliance to attract more enterprise fleet operators. The company may focus on enhancing its security measures further and exploring new technological integrations to improve its platform's capabilities. As the demand for secure and efficient EV charging solutions grows, Greenlane's compliance will likely serve as a competitive advantage, enabling it to capture a larger share of the market. Additionally, Greenlane may seek to maintain its compliance with evolving standards and regulations to ensure ongoing trust and reliability in its services.
