Jennifer Gonzalez, SVP and children's publisher at Sourcebooks, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting Lavette's passion for storytelling and commitment to equity. The initial launch will include the Terysa Solves It series by Terysa Ridgeway, focusing on girls in STEM, and other series by notable figures such as civil rights attorney Ben Crump and NFL player Micah Parsons.
