Firestorm Labs, a defense startup based in San Diego, has successfully raised $82 million in Series B funding to advance its innovative approach to drone manufacturing. The funding round was led by Washington Harbour Partners and included participation
from NEA, Ondas, In-Q-Tel, Lockheed Martin, Booz Allen Ventures, and others. This brings the company's total funding to $153 million. Firestorm Labs is pioneering the development of xCell, a containerized manufacturing platform capable of producing drone systems in under 24 hours. These mobile factories are designed to be deployed close to conflict zones, allowing for rapid production and deployment of drones tailored for various missions, including surveillance and electronic warfare. The technology has already been deployed domestically with the U.S. Air Force and is operational in the Indo-Pacific region.
