Rivian has secured the top spot in the Consumer Reports 2026 Owner Satisfaction rankings for the third consecutive year. Despite this achievement, the company did not receive any S&P Global Mobility loyalty
awards at the Detroit Auto Show in January and fell below the segment average in J.D. Power's premium EV satisfaction study. Consumer Reports highlighted that 85% of Rivian owners would buy from the brand again, with the R1T model achieving a 91% buy-again rate. However, Rivian's reliability remains a concern, as the R1T scored only 18 out of 100 in reliability. In contrast, J.D. Power's study, which focuses on service experience, quality, and reliability within the first year of ownership, showed Rivian models below the premium BEV segment average.
