The Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) KF-21 fighter jet has attained its final combat suitability certification in South Korea, marking a significant milestone in its development. This certification confirms the Block 1 version's readiness for initial
air-to-air missions. The KF-21 has been in development for over a decade, with a flight test program involving six prototypes. The first production aircraft is scheduled for delivery to the Republic of Korea Air Force in the second half of 2026. Concurrently, Hanwha Aerospace has increased its stake in KAI to 5.1% and plans further investments to reach approximately 8% by the end of the year.
