What's Happening?
FanFeed, a new platform, is utilizing patented photo-analysis technology to create verified attendance histories for fans of sports, music, and entertainment events. Founded by Cole Rubin, the platform analyzes metadata from users' photo libraries to confirm
their presence at events, without the need for tickets or check-ins. This innovative approach allows for the creation of a comprehensive attendance record, which can be sold back to the live events industry. The platform launched on April 28 and has already verified over 50,000 attended events during its beta phase.
Why It's Important?
FanFeed addresses a significant data gap in the live events industry by providing insights into actual attendance patterns. This information is valuable for event organizers, teams, and artists who traditionally rely on ticket sales data, which does not capture the full picture of fan engagement. By understanding who attends multiple events, stakeholders can tailor marketing strategies, improve fan experiences, and potentially increase revenue. The platform's ability to offer a detailed view of fan behavior represents a shift towards data-driven decision-making in the industry.
