Kagem Mining, a subsidiary of Gemfields, has donated cutting and polishing equipment to the Gemstone Processing and Lapidary Training Centre in Ndola, Zambia. This donation includes cutting and polishing machines, a sawing machine, and calibrating machines, along
with accessories. The partnership aims to support Zambia's gemstone industry by enhancing value addition and capacity building. Kagem has also committed to facilitating annual student visits to its emerald mine, providing technical training and guest lectures. This initiative is expected to improve teaching outcomes and highlight research areas in the gemstone industry.
