Venice High School secured the City Section Division I softball championship with a decisive 7-2 victory over Eagle Rock. Pitcher Violet Ascencio played a pivotal role, striking out 13 batters. Her sister, Abilgail Ascencio, contributed significantly
with two doubles and three hits. The team honored the late Angelo Gasca, a former football and softball coach, by holding up his photo. In other divisions, Arleta triumphed in Division II with an 11-0 win over Marshall, led by Naomi Tachin's pitching. Franklin claimed the Division IV title with a 17-5 victory over Huntington Park, showcasing strong batting performances.
