The Montgomery Advertiser has opened voting for its Girls Athlete of the Week, sponsored by the Vance Law Firm, covering the period from April 27 to May 1. The voting commenced on May 3 and will remain open until noon on May 7, with the winner to be announced
on May 8. The nominees are selected based on outstanding performances submitted by high school coaches or statisticians. Among the nominees are Kaylin Corley from Saint James, who scored two goals in a playoff win, and Megan Masters from Prattville Christian, who achieved five RBIs in a tournament. Other notable performances include Haley Ishman from Montgomery Catholic with nine RBIs and a home run, Kaymarria Bandy from Brewbaker Tech with two RBIs, and Kyla Richardson from Wetumpka with a home run and four RBIs.
