What's Happening?
Hartman Seatrade has chosen the LS 250 heavy-duty ship cranes from Liebherr to equip its latest vessels. These cranes are designed for tandem operations, enabling combined lifts of up to 500 tons, which is particularly beneficial for handling project
cargo. The LS 250 cranes are engineered to provide reliable lifting performance even under challenging maritime conditions. They boast a lifting capacity of up to 250 tons and a maximum outreach of 36 meters. The cranes' low deadweight of 150 tons contributes to improved vessel stability and cargo-handling efficiency. The vessel hulls will be constructed in Szczecin, Poland, with final outfitting in the Netherlands. Before completion, the vessels will stop in Rostock, Germany, where the LS 250 cranes are manufactured, for the installation of slewing columns. The cranes feature Liebherr’s Litronic system, which offers precise control and real-time operating data, enhancing performance and safety.
