Norway-based AKOFS Offshore has signed a significant contract with Petrobras to continue utilizing its Aker Wayfarer vessel for subsea well intervention and installation services in Brazil. The contract, valued at $330 million, spans four years and is set to commence in September 2027. This agreement follows the expiration of the current contract and involves preparations for the new engagement. The Aker Wayfarer, built in 2010, is designed for deepwater subsea equipment installation, intervention, or recovery, making it a premier field construction platform for deep and ultra-deep waters. AKOFS Offshore will collaborate with Bravante for marine services and Oceaneering for remotely operated vehicle services.
