What's Happening?
Chopova Lowena presented its Fall 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection at London Fashion Week, drawing inspiration from British Regency era dress and the sport of golf. The collection, co-founded by Laura Lowena and Emma Chopova, features a mix of sport and folklore
elements. The presentation included vintage umbrella stands and Astro Turf, with the collection displayed on Stockmans. The designs incorporate Empire waists, puff sleeves, and intricate embellishments, with signature pleated carabiner skirts extended into tiered, floor-length versions. The designers utilized leftover fabric stocks and upholstery materials to create sculptural corsets and zippered panniers, mingling with tartans and argyle patterns. The collection also introduced a new intimates range called Chopova Lowena Feelings, featuring slogans on sweatshirts.
Why It's Important?
The collection highlights the ongoing trend of blending historical fashion elements with modern sportswear, reflecting a broader movement in the fashion industry towards innovative and eclectic design. By incorporating elements of British history and sport, Chopova Lowena continues to push the boundaries of traditional fashion, appealing to a diverse audience. This approach not only showcases the designers' creativity but also emphasizes the importance of sustainability by using leftover materials. The introduction of the intimates range with slogans adds a contemporary twist, potentially attracting a younger demographic and expanding the brand's market reach.
