Dolby Laboratories and BMW have launched the Dolby Atmos immersive audio system in the new BMW 7 Series at Auto China 2026. This marks the beginning of a broader rollout across BMW's vehicle lineup. The 7 Series features the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround
Sound System, offering a three-dimensional audio experience with up to 36 speakers and 1,965 watts. This integration reflects a trend towards treating vehicle interiors as premium entertainment spaces. The rollout will extend to other models, including the BMW iX3 Long Wheelbase, with cinematic video services featuring Dolby Atmos launching in select markets.
