Beta Cinema has announced the addition of two films to its Cannes Market slate: 'The Other Side,' an adventure thriller starring Nina Hoss, and 'The Rome Eight,' an underdog story based on true events. 'The Other Side,' directed by Mariko Minoguchi, is
set in a near-future society affected by a pandemic, featuring Hoss as a former doctor living in isolation. 'The Rome Eight,' directed by Hannu Salonen, follows a rowing coach's journey to transform a group of misfits into a successful team, symbolizing hope and reconciliation in post-war Germany. Both films are in post-production and are set for release in Germany later this year.
