Blake Gunter, a three-star wide receiver from Southlake, Texas, has announced his commitment to the University of California, Berkeley, for the class of 2027. Gunter, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 180 pounds, chose Cal over several other offers from universities
such as Baylor, Pittsburgh, and Wake Forest. He is currently ranked as the 146th-best wide receiver prospect in his class by Rivals Industry rankings. Gunter's decision follows a visit to Cal in January and makes him the third player to commit to head coach Tosh Lupoi's team for 2027. His junior season at Southlake Carroll High School was impressive, with 68 receptions for 1,224 yards and 18 touchdowns, along with two rushing touchdowns.
