The Florida Gators football program has successfully secured a commitment from Tripp Brown, a class of 2026 tight end, as a preferred walk-on. Brown, a three-star prospect according to Rivals, had received offers from several Division I programs, including Toledo, Bowling Green, and Eastern Michigan, before choosing Florida. The Gators' 2026 recruiting class is currently ranked 15th nationally and eighth in the SEC by 247 Sports. Brown, who played at Tampa Plant High School, was a standout player, amassing 2,270 all-purpose yards and 25 touchdowns during his high school career. He was also a two-time All-County selection and earned an All-State nod. This season, Brown caught 15 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown, while also stepping in as an emergency
quarterback, throwing for 419 yards and six touchdowns. His commitment adds depth to the Gators' roster, especially with the recent departures of tight ends Hayden Hansen and Cameron Kossman to the transfer portal.
