Advantech has introduced the MIC-735 AI inference system, expanding its edge AI portfolio. This system is powered by the Nvidia IGX T5000 module and is designed to enhance the safety and performance of robotic and autonomous mobile robot applications.
A key aspect of the MIC-735 is its integration with Fort Robotics' safety architecture, which ensures deterministic performance and SIL-certified dependable control. The system features an integrated functional safety architecture based on the Nvidia IGX Thor solid reference design. It supports direct integration with Fort Robotics’ Nano Safety Controller Pro and the Nvidia AI Enterprise-IGX software stack, providing access to Nvidia's microservices, open models, and frameworks for robotics. Additionally, the MIC-735 incorporates the Nvidia Holoscan platform for real-time sensor processing, enabling high-bandwidth, synchronized communication between multiple sensors and AI processors. The system is designed to operate in a wide temperature range and offers high-speed connectivity options, including 5G.
