What's Happening?
Osisko Development has successfully completed a 13,000-meter infill drilling program at its Cariboo Gold Project in British Columbia, Canada. The program included 55 underground infill and near-mine exploration diamond drill holes, totaling 5,654 meters
at the Lowhee Zone. Key intercepts from the drilling include significant gold grades, such as 44.68 grams per tonne over 1.5 meters. The tighter drill spacing aims to enhance the understanding of vein corridor geometries and local variability within the deposit. The Cariboo Gold Project hosts probable mineral reserves of over 2 million ounces of gold, and the recent drilling results are expected to refine production designs and sequencing.
Why It's Important?
The completion of the infill drilling program at the Cariboo Gold Project is a critical step in advancing the project's development. The results provide valuable data that will help optimize mining operations and improve resource estimates. This development is significant for Osisko Development as it seeks to enhance the project's economic viability and attract potential investors. The Cariboo Gold Project is a key asset in Osisko's portfolio, and its successful advancement could contribute to the company's growth and position in the mining industry. Additionally, the project's progress may have broader implications for the regional economy in British Columbia.
