What's Happening?
Carr, Riggs & Ingram (CRI) has announced the launch of a new capital markets practice aimed at assisting small-cap and middle-market companies with IPO readiness, SEC reporting, PCAOB-compliant audits, and private equity accounting and advisory services.
The practice is led by Brent Leslie, with operations based in New York City and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The team includes partners Michael Corkery, Elizabeth Marks, and Joshua Hallett, with Jim Duffy overseeing business development. This initiative is part of CRI's strategy to expand its service offerings and support companies in navigating complex financial regulations.
Why It's Important?
The establishment of CRI's capital markets practice is significant as it addresses the growing demand for specialized financial services among small-cap and middle-market companies. These companies often face challenges in meeting regulatory requirements and preparing for public offerings. By providing targeted support, CRI aims to facilitate smoother transitions to public markets, potentially increasing the number of successful IPOs. This move could also enhance CRI's competitive position in the financial services industry, attracting new clients and expanding its market share.
