What's Happening?
The Florida Hospitality Expo, a prominent event in the travel and tourism industry, is set to return in 2026 after a one-year hiatus. The expo, originally established by George Fakhoury as the GMF HAT (Hospitality and Tourism) Show, will be managed by Buena
Vista Events & Management. Scheduled for August 18 at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista near Disney Springs, the event aims to bring together industry professionals from various sectors, including attractions, food and beverage, and lodging. Rich Bradley, President of Buena Vista Events & Management, expressed excitement about building on Fakhoury's legacy and enhancing the event with new features. The expo has historically attracted nearly 100 exhibitors and is known for fostering networking and showcasing industry innovations.
Why It's Important?
The return of the Florida Hospitality Expo is significant for the travel and tourism industry, particularly in Florida, a major hub for these sectors. The event provides a platform for industry leaders to network, share insights, and explore new business opportunities. It also serves as a catalyst for economic activity in the region, potentially boosting local businesses and tourism. By reintroducing the expo with new enhancements, Buena Vista Events & Management aims to drive greater commerce and foster meaningful connections among industry stakeholders. This could lead to increased collaboration and innovation within the industry, benefiting both exhibitors and attendees.
