Writer and director Anu Valia has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for representation. Valia, a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, gained recognition with her short film 'Lucia, Before and After,' which won the U.S. Fiction
Award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2017. Her television directing credits include popular series such as HBO's 'Rooster,' Apple TV+'s 'Shrinking,' Disney+ and Marvel's 'She-Hulk,' and HBO Max's 'And Just Like That…' She also served as the executive producer and pilot director for Apple TV+'s 'Big Door Prize.' Valia's debut feature film, 'We Strangers,' premiered at SXSW in 2024, winning top prizes at various film festivals. The film follows a commercial cleaning woman in Gary, Indiana, whose life changes after a small lie spirals out of control.
