Uber has announced a new feature allowing users to book hotel rooms through its app, utilizing listings provided by Expedia Group. This development is part of Uber's strategy to transform into an 'everything app' that caters to various customer needs.
The integration with Expedia will enable access to over 700,000 hotels and more than 1 million vacation rentals from Vrbo, which will be added later this year. Uber One members will benefit from a 20% discount on a rotating selection of hotels and 10% back in Uber credits. This move follows Uber's previous expansions into food and grocery deliveries, aiming to consolidate multiple services into a single platform.
