Kris Hughes, a wide receiver for the Louisville Cardinals, has announced his intention to enter the NCAA transfer portal. Hughes is the sixth player from the team to declare for the transfer portal, joining teammates such as running back Shaun Boykins Jr., tight ends Nate Kurisky and Grant Houser, and defensive ends A.J. Green and Micah Carter. Overall, he is the ninth scholarship player to make this decision, with others including quarterback Brady Allen and defensive tackle Selah Brown. Hughes, who joined the Cardinals as a walk-on in 2023, has been a part of the team for three years, earning a scholarship this past summer. During the recent season, he played
in 11 games, recording eight receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown.
