What's Happening?
The National Institute of Flamenco is presenting 'La Estrella: A Flamenco Story of the Kings’ Quest,' a holiday production at the University of New Mexico’s Rodey Theatre. Scheduled for December 12-14,
the event features over 100 performers, including Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company and guest artists from Spain. The production is a vibrant fusion of flamenco dance, Spanish Christmas carols, and regional dances, celebrating the cultural lineage connecting Spain, Latin America, and New Mexico. It draws inspiration from the story of the Three Kings and the tradition of Las Posadas, emphasizing themes of journey and community.
