What's Happening?
The Nebraska Women in Agriculture program, in collaboration with Annie’s Project, is hosting a quarterly book club featuring 'The Gap and The Gain' by Dr. Benjamin Hardy. The book club aims to explore mindset growth and will conclude with a virtual discussion on March 9 at 1 p.m. Central Time. The book, which builds on concepts from Dan Sullivan's teachings, encourages readers to focus on 'The Gain' rather than 'The Gap' to measure progress and success. This approach suggests that individuals should compare their current selves to their past selves to recognize growth, rather than to an idealized version of success. The virtual discussion will be led by Calli Thorne, a certified speaker and coach, and is open to all, with free registration available
on the Nebraska Women in Agriculture website. The first 25 registrants will receive a complimentary copy of the book.
Why It's Important?
This initiative is significant as it provides a platform for women in agriculture to engage in personal development and mindset growth. By focusing on 'The Gain,' participants can cultivate a more positive outlook on their achievements, which is crucial in an industry often marked by challenges and uncertainties. The program not only supports individual growth but also fosters a community of like-minded individuals who can share experiences and insights. This can lead to increased motivation, confidence, and ultimately, greater success in their professional and personal lives. The inclusion of a diverse group of participants also promotes inclusivity and broadens the impact of the program.
