The third annual Pride in Park Ridge Community Celebration is scheduled for June 5 at Hodges Park in Uptown Park Ridge. The event will feature Channyn Lynne Parker, CEO of Equality Illinois, as the keynote speaker. Parker, a prominent advocate for LGBTQ+
rights, will speak following a proclamation by Mayor Marty Maloney recognizing June as Pride Month. The celebration will include family-friendly activities, live performances, and a variety of food vendors. Local businesses and organizations will also participate, offering handmade goods and services. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Transformative Justice Law Project of Illinois, which supports low-income transgender individuals.
