What's Happening?
Resulting IT, an independent SAP consultancy, has introduced two new agentic AI tools, S4SensAI and ABAPBanZAI, aimed at reducing the costs and time associated with SAP S/4HANA programme delivery. These tools are designed to address the high expenses,
lengthy timelines, and dependency on traditional Systems Integrator (SI) engagements. The tools promise a 59% reduction in programme effort by shifting work from expensive consultants to AI agents. This approach, termed 'Deshoring' by Resulting IT CEO Stuart Browne, moves labor-intensive tasks to AI, offering a cost-effective alternative to the traditional offshore model. Despite SAP's extended maintenance deadline of December 2030, only 39% of eligible SAP ECC customers have migrated to S/4HANA, largely due to the economic challenges of traditional SI delivery.
Why It's Important?
The introduction of these AI tools by Resulting IT could significantly impact the SAP consulting industry by reducing reliance on costly and time-consuming traditional consulting models. This shift could enable more organizations to transition to S/4HANA, potentially accelerating digital transformation across industries reliant on SAP systems. The cost savings and efficiency gains could make S/4HANA adoption more accessible to a broader range of companies, particularly those deterred by the high costs of traditional consulting. This development may also pressure other consulting firms to innovate and adopt similar AI-driven solutions to remain competitive.
What's Next?
As Resulting IT rolls out these AI tools, the company has already secured its first clients on a subscription model. The success of these tools could lead to wider adoption across the SAP ecosystem, prompting other consultancies to explore AI-driven solutions. Organizations may begin to reassess their SAP migration strategies, considering the potential cost and time savings offered by AI. Additionally, SAP may need to address the evolving landscape of its consulting ecosystem, potentially influencing its own strategies and partnerships.
