The Lussi family has announced the rebranding of the Crowne Plaza Lake Placid to Grandview Lake Placid, marking a significant shift from its nearly six-decade affiliation with InterContinental Hotels Group. Located at 101 Olympic Drive, Lake Placid, the hotel
originally opened in 1969 as an 88-room Holiday Inn and has since expanded to 246 guestrooms. The modernization project, managed by Essex Hotel Management, LLC, involves a comprehensive renovation of the original 88 rooms, which is already underway. The renovations are set to pause during July and August 2026, with the entire transformation expected to be completed by December 2026. Newcomer Associates and ACC Design have been tasked with handling the updates, aiming to enhance the guest experience by focusing investments for maximum impact.
