The Chicago-based vocal ensemble, withonevoice, is set to present a free concert titled 'Hold Fast' at Western Illinois University on July 23, 2026. The performance will feature world premieres by composers from Illinois and Arizona, including Alex Berko,
Ryan Korell, and MaryAnne Muglia. The ensemble, consisting of 16 professional musicians and teachers, aims to promote vocal versatility through diverse performances and educational workshops. The concert is part of a three-year recording and commissioning project, with the ensemble's first album expected in 2028. Public rehearsals will be held during their residency at Western Illinois University from July 20 to July 23, and tickets for the concert are available for free with RSVP reservations.
