Aldi South Group is set to introduce a new globally unified store format across its markets, including the UK and Ireland, starting from the second quarter of 2026. This initiative, developed in collaboration with Landini Associates, aims to create a modular
model adaptable to various store sizes and building types in Aldi South's key territories: the US, Australia, Germany, Hofer, and the UK and Ireland. The format has already been trialed in Aventura, Florida, since September 2025, with further testing ongoing in the US. The project is managed by Aldi Australia and overseen by Aldi South Group's International Real Estate Committee, with input from each territory. The new format is designed to bring greater consistency to Aldi's international estate while allowing local teams to tailor stores to meet specific market needs.
