What's Happening?
Anantara, a luxury hotel brand featured in HBO's 'The White Lotus', is set to open its first U.S. skyscraper in Miami's Edgewater neighborhood. The 50-story Anantara Miami Resort & Residences will rise 650 feet above Biscayne Bay, featuring private condominiums,
resort residences, and a boutique hotel. The project, developed by One Thousand Group and Minor Hotels, is inspired by Thai hospitality traditions and is expected to open in 2030. The design includes wellness amenities and a rooftop helipad, with interiors by Patricia Urquiola.
Why It's Important?
The introduction of Anantara's first U.S. skyscraper in Miami highlights the city's growing appeal as a luxury destination and its expanding skyline. This development is part of a broader trend of branded luxury residences reshaping urban landscapes, attracting affluent buyers and tourists. The project's focus on wellness and high-end amenities reflects consumer demand for holistic living experiences. The involvement of renowned designers and architects underscores the competitive nature of Miami's real estate market, potentially driving further investment and development in the area.
