Gateway Capital Partners, a venture firm founded by Dana Guthrie, has announced the first close of its $25 million Fund II. This milestone allows the Milwaukee-based firm to begin its investment operations. Although the exact amount of the first close was
not disclosed, the fund aims to support at least 20 companies with average check sizes ranging from $500,000 to $600,000. The fund is industry-agnostic but will focus on Midwest industries such as supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing AI, which are considered ripe for disruption. Gateway Capital, which launched in 2020, previously raised a $13 million Fund I.
