Niles Davis, a freshman at the University of California, is making strides as a safety for the California Golden Bears football team. His journey began with a bold declaration in a video during his sixth-grade year, where he proclaimed himself as 'the
future of D1.' This statement has since become a reality as Davis has transitioned from a high school running back and wide receiver to a promising college safety. Under the guidance of Ayinde Bomani, who runs the Run 2 Daylight Running Back Academy, Davis honed his skills and developed a strong work ethic. His high school career at Westlake High School in Thousand Oaks saw him excel as a wide receiver, catching 41 passes for 618 yards and 10 touchdowns in his senior year. Now at Cal, Davis is part of a group of 11 freshmen who joined the team for spring practice, and he is embracing the opportunity to grow and contribute to the team.
